BNC Club Awards for the 2025 Season

These awards are all about celebrating the heart and hustle of our players, and your nomination decides who takes them home. So, if someone inspired you, impressed you, or gave it their all this season, click on the link, select a trophy and tell us why. Now is the time to speak up and get nominating.

Award information

Sportsmanship Awards - Awarded to players who show great sportmanship on the court towards umpires, the other team and their own team  

Don Family Trophy -  For the most promising Year 7 or 8 player

Ambrose Trophy - Awarded for and U14 player showing great sportsmanship on the court

Pearce Family Trophy - Awarded for an U14 player showing promise

Jarquin Family Trophy - Awarded to a U15 player showing great sportsmanship on the court.

Sheppard Family Trophy - Awarded to the most outstanding U15 player

Sherrill Matterson Trophy - For the most improved junior player (U18 and below) who is showing promise

Mackley Family Most Outstanding open grade player - for the most outstanding challenge grade player (B Team)

Sandra Richards Memorial Trophy - Awarded to the most outstanding senior player from the B team down (including Open Grade Teams)

Ashby Trophy - Awarded to the most outstanding player from the A team

Best Club Player - Awarded to the best player from all senior teams, open grade and above

Kieren Stack Memorial Trophy Most Improved Team - Awarded to the team that show they meet the following criteria: Great attitude, improved skills and team work

Karena Whanau Manawanui Award - This award was donated to the club by Diane and Wi Karena whose daughter was a member of the club. It is for someone who has mana, someone with strong values and is respected by those around them. It can be either a player or member of the committee.

Fosters Trophy Contributing back to the club -  Awarded to someone who does one or more of the following: Coaching, umpiring, playing, on the committee or helping out

Mike Moore Cup Best Club Member - Awarded to the most supportive club member. It could be a committee member, coach, player or an umpire. Someone who has gone over and above for the club.

Lidgett Family Trophy Most outstanding supporter - Awarded to someone who is reguarly at the courts, rain, hail or shine to cheer on the teams.

Timperley Family Dedicated Coaching and Development Skills - The development award goes to a coach who puts in time and effort and commits to upskilling themselves.

Sandra Caldwell Trophy: this award is for someone under the age of 18 who has been selcted for a rep team. If there are no players fitting the above criteria, then it would to someone under 18 showing great future promise.

Hume Cup: This award is for the best representative player.
